Clearance Process for JMH Volunteers

When we have received all of your forms, we will call you to schedule a time for you to meet with us. We will discuss your department interests, schedules and availability. Allow approximately 30 minutes for this appointment.
Johnson Occupational Medicine Center (JOMC) Appointment.
At the JOMC appointment you will receive a Tuberculin (PPD) test and an order form for lab work. Make an appointment for the second PPD which needs to be completed in 4 weeks or less. The lab work may be done at the Johnson Surgery Center in Enfield which is adjacent to Johnson Occupational Medicine Center. No appointment need for lab work. PPD's must be checked within 48-72 hours by returning to JOMC. JOMC notifies Employee that you are cleared to start. Volunteers are not charged for these services.
Orientation - general
Orientations are usually scheduled twice each month beginning at 3:00 PM and ending at 5:30 PM. We'll give you upcoming dates at your interview.
Then you'll be ready to start!! Volunteer Services will contact you to coordinate your start date in your department. The first day or two will be department orientation.
