Johnson Memorial Medical Center (JMMC) and Saint Francis Care will hold a Community Health Screening Event on June 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Saint Francis Care at Ellington, 137 West Road in Ellington, Connecticut. The event will feature breast exams, body fat analyses, cholesterol/glucose screenings, integrative medicine techniques, hearing screenings, retinal screenings, and skin cancer screenings free-of-charge to community members. Most screenings require an appointment; please call 1-877-783-7262 to register or click here to register online. In addition to health screenings, the event will feature a Medication Review by a Big Y Pharmacist and a Booster Seat Safety Clinic. The Big Y Pharmacist will assess current medications, including dosage, timing, and interactions of medications. At the Booster Seat Safety Clinic, experienced car seat technicians will check booster seats free-of-charge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are not needed for the Medication Review or Booster Seat Safety Clinic. JMMC and Saint Francis Care announced in January the intention to enter into a partnership agreement. The Community Health Screening Event is the first joint community event for the organizations.
