JMH Enfield Mammography Program Receives Re-accreditation

Johnson Memorial Hospital's Johnson Surgery and Outpatient Services Center in Enfield was recently awarded a three year re-accreditation for its digital mammography services. The accreditation was received from the American College of Radiology (ACR) Mammography Accreditation Commission on Quality and Safety. The ACR awards accreditations after its peer-reviewed evaluation to ensure compliance with industry standards. As part of the accreditation program, the ACR reviews and evaluates personnel, equipment, quality control measures and image quality. The ACR consists of radiologists, radiation oncologists, radiation physicists, interventional radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians dedicated to ensuring safe effective and accessible imaging. The digital mammography program at Johnson Surgery and Outpatient Services has also been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Digital mammography services are available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. To schedule a mammography appointment, please call 860-684-8555. |
