Throughout its history, Johnson Memorial Medical Center (JMMC) has relied upon the support of surrounding communities to help fund the development of new and enhanced services. In fact, JMMC's flagship, Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH), first came into existence thanks to the compassion of two community residents, Cyril and Julia C. Johnson, who generously donated the funds necessary to build and endow it. In years hence, countless individuals, civic organizations, churches, businesses and corporations have come forward to ensure that the seed planted by the Johnsons so many years ago continues to grow and prosper.
JMMC's Development Department has taken an active role in coordinating events and campaigns to offset the costs of equipment, programs and services. The Department now coordinates fundraising efforts for all of JMMC's entities
Contributions to JMMC help to ensure that local residents of all ages enjoy convenient access to the highest quality care. Gifts to any entity or program can be made in the form of cash, stocks or bonds, and may even be made in memory of or in tribute to a loved one. Bequests are also welcome and encouraged. Because the members of JMMC are 501(c)3 organizations, most donations are tax-deductible.
